Limited Capacity filling up

Are you teaching students to code using block-based code? Would you like to take that instruction to the next level by having a better understanding of real text-based code? After all, what is it that makes code... well... code?  We will go beyond the nebulous concepts of problem-solving, logic and sequence to examine the fundamentals and syntax of real-world code with an eye toward bringing this understanding to students.

The latter section of the class will involve hands-on experience with Bitsbox, a free web-based textual programming tool, where we will put these concepts to use and see how we can take students into this next level of coding.

Please bring a compatible device to this session. (Chromebook, iOS Device, Mac Computer, Windows Computer)

Participants should have a Google or Bitsbox account.

Standards:
